I love coloring with alcohol markers because they do not streak like regular ink markers. You can create card backgrounds using alcohol markers with ease. You do need to make sure you have the right type of paper. Did you know, Stampin’ Up’s! Basic White cardstock is great with alcohol markers? Also Basic White is perfect for Stampin Up! ink.
To create card backgrounds using alcohol markers, first decide what image you want to use. For this card, I used the Happiness Abounds stamp set. I stamped the roses and leaves using Memento Ink Tuxedo Black. This is a great ink to use with alcohol markers. Next I colored the roses and leaves using a variety of Stampin’ Blends. After the images are colored, I used Pool Party Stampin’ Blend to color the background.
Below is a list of all the products I used to create this card.
