I love the Free As A Bird<\/strong> stamp set that is in the current 19\/20 annual catalog. The little birds are too cute. They make coloring with Stampin’ Blends<\/strong> easy because the images are small but have plenty of white space to color. Also, the artist of this set added hash marks that help with shading. Which can be difficult for a beginner with alcohol markers. Using the darker blend, color over the hash marks and then use the light blend to color in the entire bird; coloring over the dark that was first applied. Simple as one, two. <\/p>\n\n\n

If you notice, the Pool Party<\/strong> cardstock layer has a slight texture. That is because I used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder<\/strong>. This was the first project where I used this embossing folder. I can for sure say, without a doubt, this might be my favorite of all! I have a feeling I will be using this embossing folder more often. <\/p>\n

Below is a closer look at my mediocre coloring skills. \ud83d\ude1b Ha! Again, the Stampin’ Blends<\/strong>, which only have a light and dark shade, make coloring with alcohol markers easy for anyone. <\/p>\n\n\n

The Free As A Bird<\/strong> stamp set comes with 6 images and 6 sentiments. That’s a total of 12 stamps in one set! As you can see, from the image of the 4 birds sitting on the branch, I used a circle die to cut out just the three together. <\/p>\n\n\n

One of the last products I used on this card, is the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper (DSP)<\/strong>. This DSP pack coordinates perfectly with the Free As A Bird<\/strong> stamp set.
