Sponge Daubing Technique!

Have you tried sponge daubing?

It is super easy! And as a result, you can add multiple colors creating unique, one of a kind stamped images. The image below shows three different stamped leaves using the sponge daubing technique to apply the ink. The first two were inked with two colors and the third with four colors. Yep, four different colors applied directly to the stamp using a sponge dauber. Therefore, each time you sponge your stamp you will get a different impression.

Sponge Daubers

I really like using the sponge daubing technique because, as a result, you get a different image every time. When using sponge daubers, first apply the lighter colors and then the darker colors. Try daubing the highlights (lighter color) in different spots to create different angles of light source. For simple images, stamp the lighter colors in the center, while stamping the darker colors around the edges.

The three leaves were inked and stamped using the sponge daubing technique. The leaf stamp comes from GOURD GOODNESS, while the sentiment comes from LABELS OF LOVE.

Both stamp sets are currently available along with other Holiday items in the 2017 HOLIDAY CATALOG. This catalog won’t be available for much longer, therefore, don’t wait to purchase.
