What I like best about Stampin’ Up’s Designer Series Paper is they coordinate with ink and cardstock colors in the current catalog. One reason I was drawn to Stampin’ Up. Coordinating colors make is easy to created a wonderful card.
In my sample, I used Tangerine Tango cardstock as the card base and Pool Party cardstock as a border. You could have just left the card with the three layers, but I wanted to embellish the card with a sentiment. The sentiment and stamped image inside the card is from the Garden in Bloom stamp set. I also created texture to the card using the Layered Leaves embossing folder to emboss a strip if Tranquil Tide cardstock and some Linen Thread behind the sentiment.
As you can see, there is very little stamping involved when using your Designer Series Paper as the main focal point of your card. Allow the colors and image of the Designer Series Paper inspire the design of your card. You could make several of the same card with one sheet of 12 x 12 paper and give them as a gift to a friend.
Below is another card I created with a different sheet of paper from the same Whole Lot of Love Designer Series Paper. With this card I fussy cut the Tangerine Tango flowers from the paper that was used in the card above.
